2014/2015 FIBT World Cup – Women’s Bobsled – Race 8

From Sochi, Russia

In the 2014 Winter Olympics, the women’s bobsled race came down to Elana Meyers Taylor and Kaillie Humphries.  The 2015 bobsled race, once again, saw the two North American women battle it out. In the 2015 race, though, Meyers Taylor extended her Run 1 lead to take the gold medal and overall World Cup title.  The win was Meyer Taylor’s sixth of the season.  Humphries took silver, while Jamie Greubel moved up into bronze from fifth after Run 1.

Elfje Willemsen took fourth for Belgium, while Jazmine Fenlator took fifth after one long skid mid-run cost her four spots. Fenlator finishes third overall in the World Cup with that finish.
