2015/2016 FIL World Cup – Team Relay – Race 2

From Lake Placid, USA

The United States capped an amazing weekend of racing in Lake Placid with gold in the Team Relay.  Erin Hamlin was the fastest woman down the track, Chris Mazdzer did the same. The team of Krewson & Sherk held their end of the deal, and the United States took their first ever Team Relay gold on home ice.

Latvia took silver and Russia took gold.  Canada finished just outside of the podium in fourth.

Trouble for the doubles teams of both Austria and Germany cost both teams a chance at medals, with Germany finishing seventh and Austria tenth.
