2015/2016 FIL World Cup – Women’s Luge – Race 6

From Oberhof, GER

Oberhof looks like it is to the Germans what Lake Placid was for the Americans. Saturday’s racing saw both the men’s and women’s race swept by the Germans, and in the women’s race it was all Tatjana Hüfner. The German was a little slower than Natalie Geisenberger in the second run, but her first run lead was more than enough to fend off Geisenberger. Dajana Eitberger finished third.

Tatiana Ivanova finished fourth, the Russian was just ahead of Martina Kocher and American Erin Hamlin, who finished fifth and sixth.

Summer Britcher and Emily Sweeney finished eighth and 11th for the United States, respectively, putting all three Americans in the Sprint World Cup race in Oberhof. Alex Gough was the top-finishing Canadian in 10th, while Arianne Jones finishes 16th.
