Results from the eighth and final race of the 2016/2017 IBSF European Cup men’s skeleton season, held January 20, 2017.
Dominic Rady once again set the fast time in both heats to win the final European Cup race of the season, leading the way for a four-man German sweep.
Teammate Felix Keisinger finished just .05 behind Rady, coming into the second run just .01 off the pace. Fabian Küchler finished third and Felix Seibel fourth to complete the German sweep.
With his win, Dominic Rady also won the European Cup, ahead of Küchler and Siebel.
Konstantin Khoroshko finished fifth, while Russian teammate Alexey Kozlov finished sixth.
Alex Ivanov led the way for the United States with an eighth place finish, while teammate Austin Florian finished just outside of the top 20 in 21st.
Canada finished the European Cup on a rough note, with neither Jonathan Chu or Ben Roberts making the second run in each of the two races in Altenberg. Chu finished 22nd, while Roberts finished 27th.
Timothy Hull finished 12th as the lone British entry, while Bradley Chalupski finished 26 for Israel.
