Patrick Pigneter set the fast time in both heats on his way to victory in Zelezniki.

The Italian was quickest in both heats on the way to victory, beating Austrian Thomas Kammerlander by just under a half second.

Russian Juri Talikh finished third, a season best, just .16 behind Kammerlander, and .19 ahead of Michael Scheikl of Austrian.

Pigneter’s doubles teammate, Florian Clara, finished fifth, while Gregori Bukin finished sixth for Russia.

A trio of British sliders took to the Slovenian hills, with Joshua Reeves, Dex Unwin, and Samuel Budd finishing 16th, 17th, and 19th, respectively.
