2017 FIL Natural Track World Championships – Women’s Luge

From Vatra Dornei, ROU

Greta Pinggera was the fastest at every point down the Vatra Dornei track on her way to her first World Championship.

Pinggera edged her Italian teammate Evelin Lanthaler by .17, though at no point down the lengthy Romanian track was Lanthaler within striking distance of Pinggera.

It was well over a second back from the two Italians to Tina Unterberger of Austria, who finished with a World Championship bronze medal.

Sarah Bachmann finished fourth, .37 away from an Italian sweep of the podium.
