Senkel Wins Second in a Row in Igls

From Igls, AUT

(Jan. 5, 2018) Christin Senkel won her second race in a row, and third this season, edging teammate Laura Nolte in the process.

Senkel came into her second run facing a .03 deficit behind Nolte. Senkel set the fastest time of the day in her second run, putting the pressure on her teammate. Nolte’s second run was good, but not good enough to hold off Senkel, giving Senkel the win. Nolte finished second, .17 off Senkel’s pace, while Sabrina Duljevic finished third in her first European Cup race of the season.

Kim Kalicki helped Germany sweep the top four spots with a fourth place finish, while Alena Osipenko and Lubov Chernykh of Russia finished fifth and sixth, respectively.
