(Jan. 12, 2019) – Patrick Baumgartner needed to both win the final 4-man race of the season and have some help to have a shot at the season-long IBSF 4-man title. In the end, everything fell into place.
Rostislav Gaitukevich finished second in the race, just ahead of Richard Oelsner in third and Bennet Buchmüller in fourth.
Baumgartner was the fastest in both heats to take the gold medal in the season finale in Igls. Behind him, Jonas Jannusch needed to finish fourth or better to win the title over Baumgartner. Jannusch finished fifth, handing the title to Baumgartner.
Baumgartner finished the season with 804 points, Jannusch with 802.
