Coltman Wins First IBSF Gold

From Königssee, GER

Dec. 14, 2019 – It took just two races into Amanda Coltman’s career to get to the top of her first IBSF podium, with the British youngster winning gold in Königssee.

Coltman was quick off the top, and set the fastest time in both heats on her way to a .62 second victory over German Josefa Schellmoser. Nobody else was within a second of Coltman.

The gold comes after Coltman won silver in her first career race in Winterberg.

Schellmoser’s silver was a career best and her first medal at the European Cup level.

Hannah Staub finished with her second straight bronze medal in two career races.

Latvians Darta Zunte and Endija Terauda finished fourth and fifth, while Mariia Surovtseva finished sixth.

Mystique Ro scored her best finish on the European Cup with a ninth place run, while teammate Kristen Hurley just missed out on a second run in 21st.
