Feb. 1, 2021 – Hunter Church won his first two-man race of the 2020/2021 season, cruising to victory in Lake Placid.
Church and brakeman Hakeen Abdul-Saboor started strong, setting the fast start time of the first heat on their way to a .33 advantage over Frank Del Duca. Del Duca put a strong run down in the second heat to take a .4 second lead over Sam Moeller. Church, though, was stronger, finishing .44 ahead of Del Duca.
The gold for Church was his first of the season in two-man bobsled, with the silver for Del Duca being his first of the season as well.
Sam Moeller, Tyler Hickey, and Israel’s Dave Nicholls rounded out the field.
