Rissling Stays Perfect in Whistler Monobob

From Whistler, CAN

(November 8, 2021) – Canada’s Alysia Rissling once again won in dominating fashion in Whistler, but this time needed some help to do so.

Rissling trailed teammate Bianca Ribi by .21 going into the second heat. On her second run Rissling put down a strong run and for a while it seemed as though Ribi would answer. Ribi was the quickest off the top and had the fast split all the way until the final set of curves where she ran into to trouble and fell to third, giving Rissling the victory.

Rissling’s margin of victory was 1.27 seconds over the United States’ Brittany Reinbolt, who won silver, and 2.38 over Ribi in third.

Nicole Vogt finished fourth, ahead of Jazmine Fenlator-Victorian in fifth and Brazil’s Marina Silva-Tuono in sixth.

Carrie Russell rounded out the seven sled race in seventh.
