From Lillehammer, NOR
(November 12, 2021) – Stephanie Schneider won her second European Cup women’s monobob race in as many tries, cruising to victory in Lillehammer.
Schneider set the quick time in both heats on her way to a .35 second victory over Dutch slider Karlien Sleper.
Sleper won her second silver in as many races. She finished the first heat just .02 behind Schneider, but couldn’t quite match Schneider’s pace in the second heat.
Lisa Buckwitz finished with a bronze medal, her best ever finish in monobob action. The 2018 Olympic bronze medal brakewoman set the quick start in both heats.
Romania’s Georgeta Popescu finished fourth, just ahead of Viktoria Cernaska and Lidiia Hunko.
