The track slowed up significantly from the first heat, but the times were still substantially quicker than in training. \u00a0Anja Schneiderheinze came into the second heat as the leader, ahead of Elana Meyers and Kaillie Humphries. \u00a0She couldn’t hold off the two sliders behind her though, and fell back to third after a bumpy second run. \u00a0Kaillie Humphries took advantage and won again, leaving her as still the only winner in Women’s Bobsled this season. \u00a0Elana Meyers holds onto silver while Schneiderheinze takes bronze. \u00a0American Jamie Greubel threw down the fastest time in the second heat, leapfrogging a handful of sliders, going from 8th to 4th, while Esme Kamphuis takes fifth.<\/p>\n

“We pushed really well today. We focus on individual goals, pushing better, driving consistent. \u00a0I know it was going to come down to consistency here, it always does,” said Humphries on her win. \u00a0She’s also been nominated by the CBC as a potential athlete of the year, so if you can vote for that kind of thing, go do that!<\/p>\n

The USA 1 sled piloted by Jazmine Fenlator couldn’t overcome a bumpy first run and finishes 13th, while the second Canadian sled piloted by Jennifer Ciochetti finishes just ahead of her in 12th. \u00a0The British sled piloted by Paula Walker finishes 10th.<\/p>\n
