2014/2015 FIBT World Cup – Men’s Skeleton – Race 2

From Calgary, CAN

Martins and Tomass Dukurs have yet again swept gold and silver on the FIBT World Cup tour, with Martins yet again dominating a race.  The younger Dukurs has yet to lose a heat, being the fastest in both runs in Lake Placid, and both in Calgary. Tomass held onto silver despite a huge effort from Korean Sungbin Yun, who moved into third after a second-quickest second run.

Christopher Grotheer came close, but couldn’t put a German sled on the podium for the first time in 2014/2015, while Axel Jungk just joined Grotheer just off the podium.

American Matt Antoine kept a strong start to the season, with a sixth place finish, while teammates Kyle Tress and Stephen Garbett finished 13th & 26th respectively.  The Canadian men couldn’t duplicate their women’s counterparts, with Dave Greszczyszyn taking ninth to lead the way for Canada.
