From St. Moritz, Switzerland

Beat Hefti takes gold on his home ice in St. Moritz.  Hefti set the season’s push record on the way to his second consecutive gold medal.  Russian Alexander Zubkov moves up to silver after a very quick second run, while Francesco Friedrich took bronze.  Canadian Lyndon Rush had his best set of runs to take fourth, while American Steven Holcomb scored fifth for the USA.  Holcomb continues to lead in the World Cup standings.

Another tough day for the Americans, with Nick Cunningham couldn’t crack the top ten, finishing in 11th.  Cory Butner had a tough first run, but picked it up on the second trip down, picking up a few spots to finish 15th.

Canadian Chris Spring scored another top-six, building on a very consistent season leading to Sochi, while Justin Kripps finished 16th.
