From Kühtai, AUT
(Dec. 16, 2018) – Evelin Lanthaler cruised to victory in the season opener in Kühtai, beating the field by more than a second.
The defending World Cup champion was over a second quicker than anyone in her first run, taking a victory lap on her second trip down the Austrian hillside to win by 1.19 seconds over teammate Greta Pinggera.
Tina Unterberger finished third, edging out Alexandra Pfattener for the final medal position.
Ekaterina Lavrentyeva and Michelle Diepold rounded out the top six.
