Brzozowski Wins 2nd Monobob Gold of the Season

From Lake Placid, USA

(December 2, 2022) – USA’s Lauren Brzozowski won her second women’s monobob race of the 2022/2023 season, beating out Viktoria Cernanska for gold.

Brzozowski, a former Elon University athlete, had the fastest run in both heats on her way to a .21 second victory over Cernanska. The American had the quick start of the second heat.

For Cernanska the silver was her first non-gold medal monobob performance of the season. She’d won gold in her other three races on the season.

Canada’s Eden Wilson won bronze for her third medal in four monobob races.

The United States’ Maddy Cohen finished with a career-best fourth place finish, ahead of Canada’s Mackenzie Stewart in fifth.

Erica Voss had the quick start of the first heat but crashed and did not finish.
