Suk Edges Bindilatti for Lake Placid Gold

(December 2, 2022) – Korea’s Youngjin Suk  beat out Brazil’s Edson Bindilatti to win gold in Lake Placid.

Suk set the fastest time in both heats, opening up a .14 second advantage over Bindilatti in the first run. He was .05 quicker in the second run to win by .19.

The gold was the second of Suk’s career and first since the 2017/2018 NAC season (Whistler).

For Bindilatti the silver was his second medal in as many days, having won his first ever two-man gold a day prior.

Canada’s Pat Norton won bronze for his third straight two-man bobsled race. Between two-man and four-man, Norton has five straight medals.

Jinsu Kim finished fourth, ahead of Orion Edwards in fifth and Gustavo dos Santos Ferreira in sixth.

USA’s Zach Snyder finished seventh.
