Lambacher & Lambacher Edge Teammates for Gold

(December 17, 2022) – Patrick and Matthias Lambacher edged out Patrick Pigneter and Florian Clara to win the World Cup opener in Winterleiten.

The Lambachers trailed Pigneter and Clara by .4 after one run. On the second run the Lambachers set the quickest time of the race, putting the pressure on their Italian teammates.

Pigneter and Clara were clean on their run, but lacked the speed that the Lambachers had, and at the end of their second run they were second, .04 back.

Austria’s Fabian Achenrainer and Miguel Brugger finished third, over two seconds back.

Matevz Vertelj and Vid Kralj of Slovakia finished fourth, while Poland’s Adrian Machnik and Nikolas Dawidowski finished fifth.
