The Austrian duo cruised to victory in the season finale as they broke the track record in the first heat, and set the quick time in the second heat on their way to a .339 second win over German rivals Jessica Degenhardt and Cheyenne Rosenthal.

While the overall World Cup title was already clinched by Italians Andrea Vötter and Marion Oberhofer, second place was decided with the final race of the season. Egle and Kipp’s victory gave them second overall, just 17 points ahead of Degenhardt and Rosenthal.

Vötter and Oberhofer finished the race in third place. Their final point total put them 95 ahead of Egle and Kipp on the season.

Latvia’s Anda Upite and Sanija Ozolina finished the race in fourth, one spot ahead of Americans Chevonne Forgan and Sophia Kirkby. That finish gave the Latvians fourth overall by a handful of points over their American counterparts.

Forgan and Kirbky put together the two quickest starts in the race on the way to their fifth place finish.
