Nolte, who had won the final monobob race earlier in the week, carried a .59 second lead over USA’s Lauren Brzozowski into the second heat. Nolte backed that up with another solid run that was again over a half of a second ahead of Brzozowski to give her a win by 1.17 over the American.

Nolte and brakewoman Lena Neunecker had the third quickest start in both heats.

Brzozowski and brakewoman Sydney Milani had the quick start in the first heat, and second quickest in the second heat on their way to their silver medal, just ahead of teammates Sylvia Hoffman and Amoni Ashby in third.

Germany’s Lisa Buckwitz and Marijana finished fourth, ahead of Kaysha Love and Rylie Matthews in fifth. France’s Margot Boch and Carla Senechal finished in sixth.

USA’s Riley Compton and Macy Tarlton crashed late in their first run and did not finish.
