Susko Wins Second Straight

(December 3, 2023) – Canada’s Embyr-Lee Susko won her second straight FIL Junior World Cup gold medal in singles luge, leading an all North American podium.

Susko had the two quickest times in the race to win by over a quarter of a second ahead of the United States’ Emma Erickson.

The gold for Susko was her second straight to start the season.

Erickson finished with a silver, well ahead of Midori Holland of Canada, who won bronze.

Germany’s Melina Fischer finished fourth as the only North American in the top seven.

Caitlin Nash of Canada rounded out the top five, with teammates Jolie Brodylo and Beattie Podulsy in sixth and seventh.

Erickson was the only American in the top ten. Sophia Gordan finished 11th, ahead of Delaney Duncan and Macey Schomaker in 12th and 13th.

Great Britain’s Tehya Baylis finished 14th.
