From Lillehammer, NOR
(February 16, 2025) – Johannes Lochner slid to his second straight four-man bobsled gold medal and third straight gold between two and four-man with a pair of strong slides to finish out the season in Lillehammer.

Lochner led Friedrich by just .09 after the first heat. Behind the two Germans, Brad Hall sat third, .15 out of the lead with Switzerland’s Michael Vogt in fourth and South Korean’s Jinsu Kim on the hunt for a four-man career-best in fifth.
In the second heat, Kim’s squad gave him the third quickest start of the heat and Kim slid to the lead ahead of Timo Rohner, who had solidified a tie for his career best finish just before him.
Kim then leapfrogged Vogt, guaranteeing the Korean a top four for his best ever finish in four-man and giving Vogt another top five in his return season from injury.
The battle for the medals were next. Hall, looking to beat Lochner to finish second overall, did what he could to move up in the order. His team picked up .02 at the start, and Hall set what was to that time the quickest drive of the heat to take the lead and score another medal.
Friedrich’s squad pushed off in the second heat with a race-fastest 4.90, and while the German was quick he came back to the Brit, but kept ahead by .04 with Lochner still to go.
Lochner needed to stay ahead of Hall to take second overall in the points. And he did just that. A 4.93 start was the second quickest of the race, and Lochner out-slid everyone else for the second time in the race on his way to a .32 second victory over Friedrich, with Hall third.
Kim scored a career-best fourth place finish, Vogt was fifth, and Rohner sixth which was also a career-best.
Adam Baird was 12th for Great Britain, one spot ahead of Canadian Pat Norton. Norton out-slid teammate Taylor Austin by .01 in both heats, with Austin 14th.
Francesco Friedrich won the season title, his seventh four-man championship. Lochner finished the season in second, just two points ahead of Hall in third. Adam AMmour, Patrick Baumgartner, and Cedrich Follador rounded out the top six.
