Germany’s Jacqueline Pfeifer, the gold medalist in the earlier women’s skeleton race, and teammate Axel Jungk slid to a commanding lead ahead of teammates Hannah Neise and Lukas Nydegger with just two sleds to go to guarantee Germany a medal.

Stoecker and Wyatt were next, and while Stoecker out-started Pfeifer by over .3, she came back to thee Germany to give Great Britain a .14 lead at the halfway point of their run.

Wyatt’s reaction time was a tick off of Jungk’s, but his start time was quicker to give the Brit an advantage that he would not give up. Despite Jungk putting down a quicker downtime, the top portion of Wyatt’s slide was enough to give the Brits the lead with only Austria to go.

Both Janine Flock and Samuel Maier found themselves back early in their runs and both Austrians closed the gap to the Brits and Germans, but it wasn’t quite enough as the Austrians slid to third behind the teams Great Britain-1 and Germany-1, who were first and second.

The gold medal was Wyatt’s third and Stoecker’s second in Mixed Team racing. For Pfeifer and Jungk, the silver was the duo’s third medal in the discipline apiece. The bronze for Flock and Maier was also their third medal each in the event.

Just off of the podium were Neise and Nydegger in fourth. The Germany-2 team picked off the reigning world champion team of Mystique Ro and Austin Florian who finished fifth on the strength of Florian’s race-quickest start and second quickest downtime.

Italy’s Valentina Margaglio and Giovanni Marchetti edged out teammates Alessandra Fumagalli and Mattia Gaspari for sixth.

Great Britain-2, made up of Amelia Coltman and Jacob Salisbury finished tenth, while USA-2’s Kelly Curtis and Dan Barefoot finished 18th.
