(December 20, 2025) – Maxmilian Pichler and Nico Edlinger slid to gold on home ice to start the 2025/2026 Alpine Luge World Cup season.
Gabriel and Samuel Halcin Slid to the lead from the fifth starting spot, but was quickly bumped by Italy’s Tobias Paur and Andreas Hofer.
Matthias and Peter Lambacher had trouble in their second run and fell behind the Slovakian duo with Pichler and Edlinger still to go.
The Austrians had the second quickest start of the race, but quickly pulled ahead of Paur and Hofer and never looked back as the slid to gold by .31 over Paur and Hofer, with Halcin and Halcin third.
