From Lake Placid, NY
Yunjong Won of Korea set the fast time in both heats in Race 8 of the North American Cup today, out-running Americans Jake Peterson and Codie Bascue to take gold. Peterson had the second fastest time in both heats to secure second, while Bascue’s second heat set him back to Ivo de Bruin, putting the two in a tie for bronze.
In all it was a good day for the Americans, with Peterson and Bascue taking silver and bronze, while Colin Coughlin took sixth and Jay Noller eighth. Canada struggled, with Payton Berezowski leading the way in 11th, while Brad Reinsch took 13th and Ausitn Taylor in 16th.
