Results from the 2016/2017 IBSF North American Cup women’s bobsled Race 1, held November 11, 2016.
Kaillie Humphries dominated the first NAC women’s bobsled event on home ice, leading the way both at the top and with time at the bottom. Teamed with Cynthia Appiah, Humphries took gold in her first race of the season, ahead of British pilot Mica McNeill. The silver for McNeill was the top finish for a British sled in any discipline at this point in the season. Alysia Rissling finished bronze, putting two Canadian sleds on the podium.
Kristi Koplin led the way for the United States with a fifth place finish, just ahead of teammates Katie Eberling and Brittany Reinbolt.
