Results from the fifth North American Cup men’s skeleton race of the IBSF 2016/2017 calendar.

John Daly took gold in his first competitive run since finishing 15th in Sochi in the 2014 Olympic Games. The American was the only athlete with a sub-50 second time, cruising to a .47 win.

Australian John Farrow took silver, .o9 ahead of British slider Kenny Howard. Howard edged Korean Junhyeon Kim by .01 for bronze, while Canadian Patrick Rooney finished fifth. Swedish slider Rasmus Ottosson finished sixth despite a 27th fastest start.

Much like their women’s skeleton NAC counterparts, the United States put three sleds in the top ten, with Andrew Blaser and Allen Blackwell finishing seventh and tenth respectively. Austin Florian rounded out the American effort in 15th.

Kyle Murray, Andy White, and Alexis Morris finished 12th, 16th, and 17th for Canada, while Jeremy Rice finished 11th in the second British sled.

The race was held to one run due to issues with the ice conditions.
