Results from the eighth and final IBSF European Cup two-man bobsled race, held January 24, 2017.
Richard Oelsner came into the second run of the final IBSF European Cup two man race in third, needing a great run to move ahead to take gold. He had just that, setting the fastest time of the day on his way to victory.
The battle for second was a close one, with Clemens Bracher of Switzerland putting down the second quickest run of the heat. While he was edged by Oelsner, neither countryman Tim Holinger or German Pablo Nolte could beat his combined time. Bracher went on to take silver, edging Holinger by just .01
Russian Dmitriy Popov edged Nolte for fourth, with Nolte finishing fifth after a seventh quickest second run. Czech pilot Dominik Dvorak finished sixth.
