Great Britain Women Sweep EC Podium For Second Time

(Dec. 15, 2017) For the second time of the 2017/2018 IBSF European Cup season, the British women swept the podium.

Eleanor Furneaux led the way for Great Britain, winning her third gold medal of the season. Kimberley Murray finished second, moving up from third after the first heat, while Brogan Crowley fell from first to third after a seventh-fastest second run.

Maria Surovtseva of Russia was the top non-Brit finishing just off the podium in fourth, while teammate Alena Frolova finished fifth. Endija Terauda of Latvia finished sixth.

Kellie Delka led the way for the United States in ninth, while teammate Leslie Stratton finished 14th.
