Lanthaler Stays Perfect in 2018

(Jan. 14, 2018) Evelin Lanthaler cruised to a one second victory in the third stop on the FIL Natural Track World Cup.

The Italian carried a .44 advantage over Russian Ekaterina Lavrentyeva into the second heat. On her second run, Lanthaler stretched her lead out to a 1.01 second victory over Lavrentyeva to take her second gold in as many events.

Lanthaler was the only woman under 58 seconds in either heat.

Greta Pinggera won her third medal in as many events with a bronze medal, .08 ahead of Tina Unterberger of Austria.

Alexandra Pfattner of Italy and Michelle Diepold of Austria rounded out the top six.
