Spring Wins First 2-man of the Season

From Lake Placid, USA

(Nov. 30, 2018) – Chris Spring continued a great start to the 2018/2019 IBSF season with a North American Cup gold medal in 2-man bobsled in Lake Placid.

The Canadian was quickest in both heats, winning by .79 over American Geoff Gadbois. Gadbois was quick in his own right, setting the second fastest times in both heats on his way to a silver medal.

American Frank Del Duca finished with a career-best (as a pilot) bronze medal, just ahead of Great Britain’s Lamin Deen.

The USA’s Hunter Church and Great Britain’s Brad Hall rounded out the top six.

The win for Spring was his first of the season, but his fourth medal in five races. He holds a 104 point advantage over Switzerland’s Michael Vogt with three races to go in the North American Cup season.

Tyler Hickey finished eighth in the fourth and final American sled.
