Koplin Wins Second Gold in Park City

Dec. 9, 2019 – Kristi Koplin won her fourth gold medal in six events, scoring gold in the second NAC race of the day in Park City.

The second heat of the first women’s bobsled race was used as the second race of the day, and Koplin’s downtime was enough to put her on top of the podium for a second time.

Kori Hol and Melissa Lotholz finished second and third for Canada, while their teammate Cynthia Appiah finished just off  of the podium in fourth.

Bianca Ribi helped put four Canadians in the top five with her fifth place finish, while The United States’ Shelby Williamson finished sixth.

Australia’s Ashleigh Werner finished seventh.
