FIBT World Cup – Round 7 – Two-Man Bobsled

From Whistler, Canada

Max Arndt came into heat 2 .09 ahead of Lyndon Rush.  Rush’s 52.10 in run 2 was the quickest, and Arndt could only put together a 52.26, and would have to setttle for silver.  Rush takes gold, making it three golds in four events this weekend from Whistler.  Arndt’s disappointing second run leaves him with silver, while Beat Hefti used two huge pushes to take bronze.

“We know this track well, and we should win here.  Our guys at Eurotech tried some different runners and it worked out pretty well.  We’re doing well going into Worlds,” said Rush of his run today.

Zubkov and RUS 1 finishes fourth while the Machata piloted GER 1 sled finishes fifth.

American sleds of Cunnigham and Butner finish 9th and 15th, respectively, while Canadian Justin Kripps finishes 17th.
