Henry Edges Graybill in Podium Sweep for USA

Jan. 26, 2021 – The United States swept the podium in the first race of the North American Cup season in Park City, with Megan Henry leading the way.

Henry trailed teammate Savannah Graybill by .07 after one heat. On the second run Graybill was once again quick, but Henry was just a bit quicker, with Henry winning by just .06 over Graybill. Henry had qualified for the United States’ World Cup team, but due to US Army obligations chose to race in the United States.

The United States’ Mystique Ro finished third, .45 behind her teammates.

Sweden’s Leslie Stratton, then 2018/2019 North American Cup runner up, finished fourth, just .02 ahead of Canada’s Madison Charney.

Kellie Delka finished sixth, falling from fifth in her second heat.

The US Virgin Islands’ Katie Tannenbaum was consistent, finishing seventh in both of her heats on her way to a seventh place finish.

Rookie Leah Fair finished eighth in her first international competition.
