From La Plagne, FRA
(December 2, 2021) – Edwards Sevics-Mikelsevics and Lukass Krasts won the season opener in La Plagne, beating the field handily.
The Latvian duo were well ahead of the field, beating Russians Lev Romanov and Vladislav Veremeenko by over a half of a second on their way to gold in the season opener.
Germany’s Moritz Jäger and Valentin Steudte finished third as the only other team within two seconds of the gold medalists.
Louis Grünbeck and Maximilian Kührt finished 2.3 seconds back in fourth, ahead of Vratislav Varga and Metod Majercak in fifth.
Latvia put two teams in the to six, with Kaspars Rinks and Vitalijs Jegorovs rounding out the top six.
