FIL Reschedules Canceled Igls Race

From Berchtesgaden, GER

(Aug. 9, 2022) – The International Luge Federation has modified its previously released World Cup schedule after a conflict with broadcast times for the FIFA World Cup.

The season was initially set to hold two races in Igls, one culminating with a Sprint World Cup event, followed by  a race with a Team Relay event. The first date on the schedule was scrapped, leaving Igls with one race, which will now be the Sprint World Cup opener. Winterberg will how host the final race of the season (and its second of the season).

Igls, Park City, and Winterberg (1) will host Sprint World Cup races, with Whistler, Sigulda, Lillehammer, Altenberg, St. Moritz, and Winterberg (2) hosting Team Relay events.
