Grünbeck & Kührt Dominate Youth A Men’s Doubles in Bludenz

(December 17, 2022) – Louis Grünbeck and Max Kührt completely dominated the men’s doubles Youth A event in Bludenz, leading a German sweep of the podium by over a full second.

Grünbeck and Kührt held a huge .7 second advantage over Silas Sartor and Jannes Degenhardt after the first heat. On the second run Sartor and Degenhardt nearly matched their first run’s time, but Grünbeck and Kührt also were close to their first downtime and that was enough to give them a 1.237 second victory.

Sartor and Degenhardt won silver, while Germany’s sweep was completed with Sebastian Hortmann and Sebastian Rosenberger in third.

Maksym Panchuk and Andrii Muts finished fourth, over two seconds off the pace set by Grünbeck and Kührt. The team of Warzybok and Dybalski were fifth for Poland, while Kachmar and Lomakovych finished sixth for Ukraine.

USA’s Logan Barnes and Gavin Davis finished ninth.
