Lotholz Continues Strong NAC Campaign with Two-Woman Victory

From Park City, USA

(December 16, 2023) – Melissa Lotholz continued her outstanding North American Cup season with another victory in two-woman bobsled in Park City.

Lotholz and brakewoman Alex Klein opened up a .21 second lead over South Korea’s Inyoung Park and Eunji Jeon after one run, with the previous day’s winners Lauren Brzozowski and Sydney Milani in between in second place after the first heat.

In the second heat Park out-drove Brzozowski to hold onto the lead by .21 with just Lotholz to go. Lotholz and Klein set the quick push of the heat (tied with Brzozowski and Milani), and had the quick split at every point on their way to a .28 second victory over Park and Jeon, with Brzozowski and Milani in third.

USA’s Riley Tejcek and Macy Tarlton finished fourth, .36 out of the medals. Canada’s Eden Wilson and Leanna Garcia finished fifth, while Sylvia Hoffman with Rylie Matthews rounded out the top six.

Erica Voss and Cadence Chernoff finished seventh for Canada, while teammates Kristen Bujnowski and Brittney Bult finished eighth.
