From St. Moritz, SUI
(February 27, 2025) – Charlotte Candrix slid to a convincing victory in the Europe Cup finale in St. Moritz, beating out up-and-coming slider Leona Klein by .2 over two runs.
Candrix was tied with Swiss slider Inola Blatty after the first heat, with both Klein and Denmark’s Maja Voigt in third, only .07 back.
But Candrix out-slid the field in the second heat to take gold, ahead of Kelin and Voigt, who were second and third.
Blatty fell to fourth .4 off the pace, with Loren Djolo and Selina Isler rounding out the top six.
Italy’s Simona de Silvestro was seventh, while Jamaica’s Mica Moore threw down a pair of top five starts on her way to an 11th place finish.
Despite the fourth place finish, Blatty took the season title ahead of teammate Selina Isler, who was the top junior in monobob in second. Candrix finished the season in third despite missing three races, with Mica Moore fourth and Leanna Garcia fifth.
