From Lillehammer, NOR
(November 24, 2025) – Charlotte Candrix kicked off the 2025/2026 Europe Cup season with a gold in Lillehammer.
The German went largely unchallenged for the top spot, having taken a .22 lead over Simona De Silvestro after one run and the remainder of the field .4 and more back. In the second heat she once again had the quick downtime to eventually win by .38 over the Italian for her second EC monobob gold in as many races.
De Silvestro’s silver medal was her first in bobsled. The former IndyCar and sportscar driver overcame a pair of slower starts to drive her way into second place after the first heat, and then held off a strong slide by the United States’ Lauren Brzozowski to maintain the position.
Brzozowski trailed Switzerland’s Selina Isler entering the second heat, but put down the second quickest start of the heat and backed it up with the second quickest drive on her way to bronze.
Isler finished fourth, .01 ahead of Germany’s Leona Klein in fifth. Italy’s Giada Andreutti rounded out the top six.
Emma Bottin became Monaco’s first female bobsledder with her first run in Lillehammer. The Monegasque finished 13th.
