From Lillehammer, NOR
(December 12, 2025) – Janine Flock helped solidify her third World Cup title in the 2024/2025 season with a victory in Lillehammer. In her return to action on the Norwegian track she once again cruised to gold.
Flock was the second off in the first heat and slid to a downtime that missed her own track record by just .04 to take the lead, a lead she held as Tabitha Stoecker went next and got within .17 of her time.

That was the closest anyone would be to the reigning World Cup champ. Behind Stoecker, the sliders stacked up with Kim Meylemans, Freya Tarbit, Hallie Clarke and Jacqueline Pfeifer all stacked up through sixth place.
In the second heat, Pfeifer took the lead from Kimberley Bos and Mystique Ro and then held it as neither Clarke or Tarbit could match her second effort.
Meylemans eventually took over in the leader’s box, well ahead of Pfeifer, but only spent about two minutes there as Stoecker threw down another marvelous slide to take the lead by .07.
But Flock would not be denied. Her second effort, while not as quick as the first, was still the best of the heat and enough to take gold by .18 over Stoecker, with Meylemans third.
The gold for Flock was number 14 out of 114 starts on the World Cup tour. Stoecker’s silver gave her the complete set of medals with one gold, one silver, and one bronze. Meylemans won bronze for the second straight race for her tenth career World Cup medal.
Pfeifer took fourth, Tarbit fifth, and Clarke sixth.
USA’s Mystique Ro was the big mover of the second heat. The reigning World Championships silver medalist entered the second heat in a disappointing 14th place, but threw down a blistering second run matched only by the medalists to move all the way up to seventh place, tied with reigning world champ Kimberley Bos.
On the back of Ro’s climb was teammate Kelly Curtis. Herself having a disappointing first run, Curtis began a climb from 18th place but was picked off by Ro. The duo then both climbed the running order together for a while, with Curtis finally settling in at 11th place. Teammates Kendall Wesenberg and Sara Roderick both barely missed out on the second heat, with Wesenberg 27th and Roderick 29th.
Amelia Coltman was 14th on the third British sled, while Canadian Jane Chanell finished 19th.
Two races into the 2025/2026 World Cup season, Janine Flock and Jacqueline Pfeifer are tied atop the standings, 17 points ahead of Kim Meylemans in third. Tabitha Stoecker, Hannah Neise, and Hallie Clarke round out the top six.
