From Winterberg, GER
(December 18, 2025) – Leona Klein slid to victory in Winterberg ahead of a three-way tie for second.
Klein trailed teammate Charlotte Candrix after the first heat, with eight sliders all within a half of a second of the lead.
In the second heat, Klein put down another quick run, a quarter of a second quicker than her first, and enough to take the lead from Simona De Silvestro, Sin-Ring Lin, and Linda Weiszewski.
Candrix put down a good start in her second run, but had trouble early on and fell out of the top six, handing Klein the win.
De Silvestro, Lin, and Wieszewski tied for second, with Weiszewski up from eighth. Switzerland’s Debroa Annen was fifth, .07 out of the tie for silver, with USA’s Lauren Brzozowski in sixth.
Spain’s Leanna Garcia was 11th, just ahead of Canada’s Erica Voss in 12th.
