Candrix and Klein Go 1-2 in Winterberg 2-woman

From Winterberg, GER

(December 20, 2025) – Charlotte Candrix and Lena Brunnhübner slid to gold in a one-heat race in Winterberg.

The raced kicked off with the first three sleds of Lea Haslwanter and Hannah Cranen, Patricia Tajcnarova and Isabela Indruchova, and Lauren Brzozowski and Lolo Jones all leapfrogging each other as the first three teams down.

Giada Andreutti and Alessia Gatti slid from the fourth starting position to a .23 lead over the American duo of Brzozowski and Jones, and held that lead until Germany’s Leona Klein and Sydney Hollering took over three sleds later.

The German duo held their spot for another two sleds until Candrix and Brunnhübner took over, .11 ahead of their teammates.

Nobody else could match either German’s time, with Deobra Annen and Julia Leuenberger getting closest and sliding into third place, where they would stay behind Candrix and Klein for bronze.

Poland’s Linda Weiszewski and Klaudia Adamek got within .05 of Annen and finished fourth, with Andreutti fifth and the team of Diana Filipszki and Carolin Kupsch sixth.

Austrlia’s Sarah Blizzard and Desi Johnson were seventh, with Brzozowski ninth and Canada’s Erica Voss and Brynn McNabb 13th.
