Ribi Holds Off Kim in NAC Two-Woman

(January 5, 2026) – Bianca Ribi and Brynn McNabb slid to gold in the first of three two-woman races in North American Cup Lake Placid action.

Ribi and McNabb had the quick start in the first heat and slid to the lead by .19 over South Korea’s Yooran Kim and Eunji Jeon.

In the second heat, Jamaica’s Mica Moore and Chloe Whylie slid to the lead ahead of Taiwan’s Sin-Rong Lin and Song-En Lin, but saw Kim and Jeon take over the lead two minutes later.

Ribi and McNabb’s second start was the second quickest of the race behind their first heat start. They were the quickest at every split by nearly two tenths and crossed the finish line .33 ahead of the South Koreans, with the Jamaican team of Moore and Whylie in third.

Ribi’s gold and Kim’s silver were the fifth for each of them on the 2025/2026 saeason. Moore’s bronze was the first of her career.

Lin and Lin were fourth, with Thailand’s Agnese Campeol and Phaethong Wannakhot fifth. Viktoria Cernanska and Lucia Mokrasova sixth.
