(January 11, 2026) – Wenhui Liu edged out teammate Jiahui Chai to win her first gold medal of the 2025/2026 Asian Cup season.
Liu outslid Chai handily in the first heat, leading by .55 after one run. However Chai put down a great second run to put the pressure on her teammate. Liu answered, and while her second run was .44 slower, it was enough to take gold by .11 over Chai.
Poland’s Marta Jakobczyk was third, 2.67 seconds off the winning pace. Minji Kim was fourth, Yeeun Chung fifth, and Siqi Xu sixth.
Yewoon Park rounded out the seven sled field.
