From Yanqing, CHN
(January 18, 2026) – Wenhui Liu slid to a dominating victory in Yanqing as she won by over two seconds ahead of teammate Jiahui Chai.
Chai was the first off the top in the first heat, and for the better part of the heat it looked like her time of 1:04.38 would stand after one run. But Liu was sixth off and threw down a huge first effort to take the lead by well over a full second.
The second heat saw more of the same. Chai easily slid to the lead ahead of Poland’s Marta Jakobczyk, but couldn’t hold off Liu, as the latter slid to a 2.06 second victory over Chai, with Jakobczyk back in third by nearly three seconds.
Yeeun Chung was fourth, over four seconds back, with Siqi Xui, Minji Kim, and Yewoon Park rounding out the seven sled field.
