From Yanqing, CHN
(January 19, 2026) – Jiahui Chai held off teammate Wenhui Liu to finish out the 2025/2026 season with a close race in Yanqing.
Chai had a yawning .93 second lead over Liu after the first heat, with Poland’s Marta Jakobczyk once again lingering around the medals in third.
But in the second heat, Liu had an outstanding second slide that was the quickest of the competition. That put the pressure on Chai, who was able to answer. While Chai’s second slide wasn’t nearly as good as her first, it was still enough to hold off Liu by a quarter of a second to win the season finale, with Liu silver and Jakobczyk third.
The season standings saw Sujung Hong take the title ahead of Yuxin Liang and Katie Uhlaender, who were second and third. Siji Song and Ashlyn Bland were fourth and fifth.
