(Nov. 7, 2017) Edson Bindilatti returned to the North American Cup podium after a just missing a medal in the first round one-heat race on November 6, taking the gold medal in the first two-heat race of the season.
The Brazilian came into the second run .15 behind Race 1 winner Hunter Church of the United States. Bindilatti out-paced Church on the bottom of half of Whistler Sliding Centre to win by .01.
Swiss pilot Pius Meyerhans finished third, moving up from fifth after the first heat.
Youngjin Suk of Korea finished fourth, .2 ahead of Croatia’s Drazen Silic, while Taylor Austin finished sixth.
