(Jan. 13, 2018) Richard Oelsner led the charge on a German sweep of the podium in the seventh race of the European Cup four-man program.
The German junior carried a .13 lead over teammate Christoph Hafer into the second run. On that second run, Hafer was quicker than Oelsner, but not by enough to move into the lead. Hafer would settle for second, while Oelsner took the victory.
The margin of victory was just .06, with Oelsner winning on his first four-man attempt of the season.
Jonas Jannuch edged Bennet Buchmüller for the bronze medal as all four German sleds populated the top four positions.
Dominik Dvorak finished fifth, moving up from ninth in his first run, while Ivan Linyuchev of Russia rounded out the top six.
